Wang weiqi, academician of Chinese Academy of engineering, was born in Shanghai on May 30th, 1939. In 1961, he was graduated from the Department of Physics, Fudan University and worked for it. He has been elected as theChinese Academy of Engineering academicians since 1999. Moreover, he has been the member of the Medicine Engineering Committee, Ministry of Medicine and Health, China since 2002.

Academic Performance:

Dr. Wang has published more than 220 papers in academic journals at home and abroad. He was invited to be a visiting professor of Tokyo University and other four national universities in Japan. Moreover, he was invited to be the honorary editorial member of the Journal Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (UMB).  

Academic Achievements:

  • Based on the noninvasive evaluation of pulmonary circulation resistance system of ultrasound, electrocardiography and computer

  • Inventions and creations in noninvasive detection of blood flow velocity

  • The modern theory (fractal, mathematical morphology extraction, quantification theory, pole locus) is introduced into perinatal medicine by him for the first time.

  • New parameters to put forward new explanations for medical Doppler principle

  • The first set of ultrasonic blood flow velocity calibration system in China

  • He has published more than 220 papers, 7 works (compilations), 2 invention patents, and more than 30 invited reports abroad in academic journals at home and abroad.

Sum:

Dr. Wang has made plenty of achievements in scientific research. He has made many pioneering and outstanding achievements in the theory, method, technology and application of medical ultrasound.
