According to the document No. 69 of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, “Notice on the Implementation Measures of the Doctoral award Program of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology”, in order to inspire the doctoral candidate of the college to study hard, concentrate on scientific research, and innovate, now release the Notice of participation in the second-stage academic scholarship for 2017 non-directional doctoral candidate.

1. Target object

The 2018 full-time, enrollment type of 'non-directed employment' doctoral student who has registered within the prescribed period of the fourth semester and has nationality of the People's Republic of China.

2.Selection limit

The number of non-directional doctoral candidate enrolled in the second-level academic scholarships evaluation is 22, according to the proportion of 25% for first-class academic scholarships, 50% for second-class academic scholarships, and 25% for third-class academic scholarships. The selection quota was confirmed by the second-year academic scholarship evaluation committee of doctoral candidate is shown in the table below:

3. Application materials

3.1.《Application Form for Evaluation of Non-Directional doctoral candidate Academic Scholarship in the Second-Phase》 ( Annex 1)

The paper version of the 《Application Form for Second-Phase Academic Scholarship Evaluation for Non-Directed doctoral candidate》filled out according to the second-stage academic scholarship evaluation rules (see Annex 2) (applicant and tutor have signed it), the electronic version named with the student number will be sent to the designated mailbox. The 'Applicant's Signature' in the form needs to be handwritten, and the 'Tutorial Signature' must be signed by the tutor. If there are special circumstances where the tutor cannot personally sign, please contact the tutor to send the e-mail to the graduate secretary's mailbox

3.2. Graduate courses transcripts

Log in the graduate information system to download the electronic version of the transcript (excel format), and then print it. The electronic version of the transcript is sent to the designated mailbox with the name of the student number

3.3. Academic papers, authorized patents, scientific and technological competition awards, etc.

(1) The time frame for research achievements and scientific and technological competitions is from the date of enrollment of graduate students to May 29, 2020.

(2) Academic papers and authorized patents participating in the evaluation must be registered in accordance with the《Measures for the Registration of Graduate Academic Achievements of the School of Medical Devices and Food》 before May 29, 2020

(3)Scientific and technological competitions awards participating in the evaluation must be registered in accordance with the 《Registration Rules of the Graduate  Innovation and Entrepreneurship Science and Technology Competition of the School of Medical Devices and Food》before May 29, 2020

(4) Supporting materials:

① Academic papers published in domestic academic journals must be copied on the front cover, back cover, catalog and page of the paper. English papers of foreign journals with DOI number must be printed in full.

② Academic papers to be published by domestic or foreign academic journals must be prepared with a copy of the acceptance notice, or payment notice, or an e-mail printed copy containing the content of the acceptance notice, and a printed copy of the full paper.

③Journal papers accepted by SCIE, EI core source journals, or have DOI numbers, journal papers retrieved by SCIE, EI, etc., authorized patents, and science and technology competitions awards. If you have already registered the paper version of the materials in the Graduate Teaching Secretariat of the college, you do not need to submit supporting materials.

4. Review procedures

May 27 to May 29, 2020: Graduate students submit application materials

June 1st to June 5th, 2020: According to the assessment rules (Annex 2), carry out the sorting and summarizing work of the application materials, and convene a review committee to determine the assessment results

June 8th to June 12th, 2020: The college announces the list of first and second-class academic scholarship and main achievements

5.Attentions

Students should pay attention to the time and deadline for submitting the application. Those who do not submit the application materials on time will be deemed to have voluntarily given up the assessment. At the same time, students are requested to promise the authenticity of the submitted materials. Those who have verified fraud will be disqualified.
