Measures for Registration of Postgraduate Academic Achievements of School of Medical Instrument and Food Engineering
In order to encourage graduate students to actively participate in scientific research, strengthen the cultivation of graduate students' scientific research and innovation ability, and improve the quality of graduate students, the college implements the following registration methods for academic papers and patents published by graduate students:
1. General
1.1. Academic achievements that have not been submitted in the graduate information system and have passed the review cannot participate in the evaluation of graduate scholarships and cannot be used as defense materials.
1.2. The results submitted must be registered with the graduate information system
1) During the period of postgraduate enrollment, published academic papers, and authorized patents and other academic achievements.
2) The first author must be a full-time graduate student of School of Medical Instrument and Food Engineering of Shanghai University for Science and Technology. Or the tutor is the first author, and the graduate student himself is the second author.
3) The first author was from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
2. Classification of academic journals and papers
2.1.Refer to the notice of the ministry of science and technology [2016] no. 3 “The classification of domestic and foreign academic journal sources and research papers of Shanghai University of Science and Technology.”
2.2. In view of the fact that the catalog of academic journals is adjusted every year, some foreign academic journals have cancelled PRINT ISSN and retained ONLINEISSN. The identification of the catalogue and paper category of the journal shall be subject to the conditions when the academic paper is accepted by the journal.
2.3.International conference papers retrieved by SCIE, EI and CPCI (ISTP) are classified as class C before the retrieval number is issued. After the search number comes out, and the search certificate is issued by the library as class B
3. Academic achievements registration process
(1) Log in graduate student information system registration and submission.
1. Registration and submission time: after receiving the acceptance notice of academic paper or the payment notice of layout fee, the graduate students can log in the graduate student information system for registration and submission. After the patent is authorized, the graduate students shall log in the graduate student information system for registration and submission
2. Category of registration and submission: the academic paper which graduate student as the first author, or tutor as the first author, and graduate student as second author; authorized patent which graduate student as the first author.
(2)Record supporting material
1. After the graduate students register their academic achievements in the graduate information system, they need to submit the supporting materials to the graduate students teaching secretariat for the record.
2. Supporting materials needed for domestic journals: the original and copy of the notice of acceptance of academic papers or layout fee payment, as well as the printed copy of the full text of academic papers.
3. Supporting materials needed for SCI, SCIE and EI core journals: to the 8th floor of the library to issue the certification that the journal is SCI, SCIE or EI core publications, a typed copy of an E-mail notification of acceptance of an academic paper, and the typed copy of the full text of academic papers.
4. Supporting materials needed for the retrieved international conference papers: the retrieval certificate issued on the 8th floor of the library, and the full text of the paper shall be typed.
5. Supporting materials needed for authorized patent: original and copy of patent certificate.
(3) Verify
1. The postgraduates' teaching secretary shall review the academic papers and authorized patents submitted by postgraduates in the information system according to the supporting materials submitted by the postgraduates.
2. The academic achievements after the examination and approval can be used as the evaluation basis of all kinds of scholarships and the materials of degree defense.
4. Other unmentioned matters will be communicated and coordinated in the specific operation
